Sarah's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! (please scroll to the bottom for updates)
I'm riding in the Tour de Victory Cycling Challenge on July 16, 2022 to help people with Parkinson's live well today.
Almost 4 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's, and since then my life has been an AMAZING ride! My mission is to spread my hope, my grit, my determination and so much more with everyone out there who shares my challenge. To that end I was blessed to become an Ambassador for the Davis Phinney Foundation about a year ago.
Your donation to my fundraising page not only will encourage me to train harder and ride faster, but will help expand the Davis Phinney Foundation's important work and programming.
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate your support!
Gratefully,
Sarah Zenner
March 28, 2022 Update: I bought a bike! Thank you Tony Song at
Evergreen Bicycle Outfitters for setting me up with Moots Routt 45. Although my rides have been short so far, I can tell she's going to be a lifelong companion.
April 1, 2022 Update: As a THANKS for your generous donations I will be giving one of you a very special Davis Phinney-signed bike jersey. On Easter Sunday I'll conduct my own raffle-style drawing including one chance for every donation that has been made by Sunday, April 17th. Second donations get a second entry! If you have been considering donating to my fundraiser now is your chance.
April 17, 2022 Update: Happy Easter everyone!
Christa Babb won the Davis Phinney jersey! Of all the names included in the
drawing it was CHRISTA, one of the truest inspirations in my life. Many
of you know her story, but for those of you who don't I'll give you a
quick synopsis. Over Christmas 2015 vacation, Christa and Steve's
college-aged son Tommy fractured his spine at C5 body surfing with the
rest of the family in Maui. It was every parent's nightmare, and was the
nightmare for all of us who love the Babb's. The story is an incredible journey of faith in God's plan of grace, and grit, passion & perseverance: Life of Tom Babb graduated from KU with the rest of his class after spending 3 months at Craig as well as after taking on-line classes while rehabbing. He returned to KU living at his fraternity house transformed to accommodate him. Today Tommy works for an incredible company in Kansas City called Mobility Designed "creating and selling innovative mobility aid alternatives radically improving the end-user experience". Thank you Christa for inspiring me to hang onto my faith and my hope.
